About RAP

I suppose I am a self-taught photographer.  When I started in photography I learned from books.  The Internet allowed me to converse and make friends with several accomplished professionals.  Along the way, I had some photos published in some magazines, some prints displayed in some exhibitions, and I had a solo exhibition at a major international art festival.  Then my path changed.

A large part of my learning, and a huge influence on my personal style of photography, occurred when I worked on documentary projects for several years while living in a third-world country.  That was followed by several solo exhibitions before my path changed again.  I moved to Los Angeles and worked a little in various forms of commercial photography, including  still photography for a few small movies.

I began taking erotic photographs in Los Angeles in 2005.  My work for Torrid Art began in 2006 and continues to this day.  I also make individual art photos, and I still get involved in all those other things.
