From time to time I will "help" the natural light of a location by placing a studio strobe just outside a window, facing in. Or I will place a light inside.

"Ashley chair," at left, uses a combination of all these sources of light, both natural and artificial. There is even an assistant nearby holding a reflector in a beam of sunlight that enters the room, yet one more source of light control.

It may sound complicated, but it comes naturally when lighting a model like Ashley. She can be playful or serious, but is always the "girl next door.
