here is a subtle yet undeniable softness and quite innocence to Valery that draws people to her. I felt it immediately, but later felt that it was hiding the presence of a dark secret. By the end of the first shoot we all wanted to protect her from life's rough edges, but of course that is impossible.
Because of everyone's reaction to her soft, subtle personality, I chose rather soft galleries for Valery, and mostly natural light. For "Valery couch," shown at left, I used soft, slightly lacy wardrobe, earth tones, simple makeup and flowing hair. I feel that Valery really sparkles in this gallery, a tribute to her inner strength.
