Dear friends of Torrid Art,

Hi everyone. Ryder here. Our webmaster, Martin, really got on my case last week. He said this first newsletter had to be ready this weekend, or else! So, here is my text, a little rushed.

This is the first Torrid Art Newsletter. Like Torrid Art itself, this newsletter is a little different from other sites. For one thing, it has more text, and news, like a real newsletter! And most of it is written by me, the photographer. Our members enjoy the tiny bit of text I write on each model page about the model, photo session and gallery. I will continue that in the newsletter.

This will also be a place for announcements about new features on the site. Right now, Martin is working on a super cool feature for members. We also have a bunch of new features planned for everyone - visitors and members. More about all those in upcoming Newsletters.

Some of you have reminded me that I have photographed very few blondes lately. I know, and that is about to change. My very next photo session is scheduled with a very hot blonde! And more will follow!

New photo set - Alyssa in a sweater
Alyssa returns with her fourth full photo set. I had just enough space around this couch to "surround" Alyssa with lights. In this light Alyssa looks three dimensional, like she is coming off the screen. I left the background a little dark and moody.

I like this type of lighting; in addition to the above, it lets us see some of Alyssa's skin texture. I hope you like it too!

Alyssa has lost a little weight since her other three sets, and you might notice she has matured as a model.

New photo set - Faye in the kitchen
Unlike her "yellow dress" gallery with lots of color, the kitchen is a rather plain setting for Faye. However, her beautiful red hair and skin add all the color we need.

Because of reflective surfaces in many kitchens, including walls with enamel paint, I have to watch for reflections of the lights, or worse, me! Therefore, camera and light placement can be very restricted in kitchens. This kitchen was a little better than most, but still had its problems.

Torrid Art - Not the biggest, not the "best on the web"
Torrid Art is the hand-crafted website of one photographer and one author. We are not big. We don't update every day. We don't have the "best on the web" of anything. We just have some really good, original stuff.
